Overview
Unilever Food Solutions Italy offers a leadership role where you'll convert strategy into disciplined commercial execution to deliver profitable growth across channels and customers. The position is based in the Rome offices and is a full-time permanent role with eligibility to the annual bonus and shares plans.
Role purpose
The Commercial Operations Manager will act as the central driver of the commercial agenda for UFS Italy, reporting to the UFS Head of Country. You will ensure alignment between Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and Customer Development, and enable the successful rollout of the PUSH agenda and the PULL growth model.
Key responsibilities
- Lead annual commercial planning and define the sales execution framework.
- Own the S&OP and forecasting process to align demand, supply and commercial priorities.
- Drive Net Revenue Management across pricing, portfolio transformation, mix management, promotional effectiveness and trade investment governance.
- Design and implement customer and channel strategies that maximize profitable growth and ROI.
- Use sell-out insights to shape customer strategies and optimize promotions for sustainable growth.
- Run commercial performance reviews to spot opportunities, foster ownership and ensure accountability.
- Enable the salesforce with advanced analytics, dashboards and decision-support tools.
- Govern commercial investments to secure disciplined execution and optimal resource allocation.
- Promote cross-functional alignment to guarantee flawless execution of business priorities.
- Support innovation and renovation through strong commercial activation and execution excellence.
- Build capabilities and processes to improve commercial effectiveness, route-to-market performance and customer profitability.
Key requirements
- At least 5 years' experience in Net Revenue Management (NRM) and Trade Marketing Investment (TMI) within the FMCG industry.
- Proven experience in forecasting, commercial planning and execution.
- Data-driven mentality with strong analytical skills, particularly in Power BI and Microsoft Excel, able to convert data into actionable route-to-market recommendations.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and customers.
- Interest in the food sector and a results-oriented, collaborative and inclusive approach.
- Fluency in Italian and English.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in foods, beverages or out-of-home channels.
- Exposure to sales or distribution channels.
- Ability to use AI tools or analytical programming (preferred).
- International academic or professional experience.
- Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing or related field.
Additional information
The role may require limited travel to customers. Tools provided include a company PC. The compensation package will be determined based on experience, skills and seniority and follows internal equity principles. Salary range: €51,200 – €70,400 gross per year. Requisiti
Minimum 5 years in NRM and TMI within FMCG; experience in forecasting, commercial planning and execution; strong analytical skills (Power BI, Excel); leadership and stakeholder management; interest in Food industry; fluency in Italian and English; degree in Business/Economics/Finance/Marketing or related preferred.
