About the role
Reboot Monkey needs dependable, skilled Data Center Technicians (DCTs) at each of its facilities. The quality of the DCT pool is the primary factor that determines client satisfaction and retention. As the DCT Recruitment Specialist for the Asia‑Pacific region (covering India, Southeast Asia, East Asia and Oceania), you will build and maintain a world‑class pool of technicians for that region. This is not a generic recruiting role: you must understand what makes an excellent datacenter technician and be able to distinguish real hands‑on skill from résumé keywords.
This role requires direct experience as a DCT or management of DCTs. You must be familiar with the actual work: structured cabling, cross-connects, hardware installs and decommissions, labeling standards, and hot/cold aisle management.
Key responsibilities
- Source, screen and recruit Data Center Technicians across APAC facilities.
- Conduct technical screening interviews to assess practical, hands‑on datacenter skills.
- Build and maintain a vetted DCT pool organized by location, skill level, availability and reliability score.
- Verify technician credentials, including certifications, references and work history.
- Create and maintain DCT skill assessments and practical evaluation criteria.
- Coordinate onboarding tasks: facility access, safety protocols and SOP training.
- Track technician performance after deployment and create a feedback loop with operations.
- Expand DCT coverage to new markets and facilities within the region.
- Manage relationships with DCT staffing agencies where used.
- Maintain the DCT database with up‑to‑date availability, skills and performance ratings.
Requirements
- 3+ years of recruiting, talent acquisition or team staffing experience (formal or informal; managing a DCT pool counts).
- Ability to conduct technical interviews and assess hands‑on datacenter skills.
- Knowledge of datacenter infrastructure: structured cabling, server racking, cross‑connects, PDUs, and environmental monitoring.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Highly organized and detail‑oriented, able to manage a regional DCT database with precision.
- Comfortable using spreadsheets, databases or ATS tools to track candidates.
Requisiti
