Job purpose
The Commercial Operations Manager in Unilever Food Solutions Italy translates strategy into rigorous commercial execution to deliver profitable growth across channels and customers. Reporting to the UFS Head of Country, this position coordinates end-to-end sales planning, forecasting, pricing and mix strategy, governance of trade investments, promotional effectiveness and customer planning, while ensuring alignment across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and Customer Development.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the annual commercial planning process and the sales execution framework.
- Own the S&OP and forecasting process, aligning demand, supply and commercial priorities.
- Drive Net Revenue Management across pricing, portfolio transformation, mix management, promotional optimisation and trade investment governance.
- Define and implement customer and channel strategies to maximise profitable growth and ROI.
- Use sell-out insights to shape customer approaches, optimise promotions and support sustainable profitable growth.
- Conduct commercial performance reviews to identify opportunities, promote ownership and ensure accountability for results.
- Enable the sales organisation with advanced analytics, dashboards, insights and decision-support tools.
- Govern commercial investments to secure disciplined execution and optimal resource allocation.
- Drive cross-functional alignment to ensure flawless execution of business priorities and accelerate growth.
- Support innovation and renovation programs through strong commercial activation and execution excellence.
- Build capabilities and processes to improve commercial effectiveness, route-to-market performance and customer profitability.
Key requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in Net Revenue Management (NRM) and Trade Marketing Investment (TMI) within the FMCG industry.
- Proven experience in forecasting, commercial planning and execution.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills (Power BI, Microsoft Excel) and the ability to turn data into route-to-market recommendations.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills; ability to collaborate with and manage diverse stakeholders and customers.
- Interest in the food industry and a results-oriented, collaborative and inclusive approach.
- Fluency in Italian and English.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in Foods, Beverages or Out of Home channels.
- Exposure to sales or distribution channels.
- Familiarity with AI or analytical programming (preferred).
- International study or work experience.
- Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing or related field.
Additional information
- Location: Uffici di Roma (Rome, Latium, Italy).
- Terms & Conditions: Full-time – Permanent (Food Industry collective labour agreement: CNEL Code E012).
- Salary Range: €51.200 – €70.400 gross per year (final package aligned to experience, skills and internal equity).
- Tools: PC. Limited travel to customers is foreseen.

Requisiti
Minimum 5 years in NRM and TMI within FMCG; experience in forecasting, commercial planning and execution; strong analytical skills (Power BI, Excel); leadership and stakeholder management abilities; interest in Food industry; fluency in Italian and English. Preferred: Foods/Beverages/Out of Home experience, sales/distribution exposure, AI/analytical programming, international experience, relevant degree.
